Start Over

Hi…  How are ya?  Nice to see ya…

Yea… I know it’s been a while… I got into this idea of vlogging but I’m just not comfortable in front of a camera… I may do some now and then for recipes and other things, but I just feel a lot more comfortable writing everything out. I’m not confident enough to be myself.  It’s sad, but I just don’t know how to change that right now.

So, I have a few posts lined up that I am planning on publishing.  I haven’t written them out yet, but I’ll give you an idea of what I am planning on writing about in the upcoming months.

I figured I’d kind of keep the same platform going.

I want to delve a little into what PCOS is for those of you who have it and don’t know much or are curious to know what it is.  I also have been reading up on the Glycemic Index (GI) and have been wanting to start eating foods low on the GI scale.  So those two things I’m sure will produce quite a few posts from be because there is an immense amount of information out there and I find it hard to absorb it all so I hope to help simplify some things not only for myself but for those of you reading this that can benefit from knowledge of PCOS and a low GI lifestyle. 

Now to catch you up a little with my life…  My mom is still living with me and we’re trying to find a place for her.  Our office moved and I now have a longer commute, plus I’m working a 40 hour work week instead of 37.5 (1/2 hour less each day) and the positive thing about that is I’m getting paid a little more each week. 

I am went to my first “event” with a group called the Neverland Disney Club based in Sacramento and it was a lot of fun and I was so excited to meet some people like me!  We saw Wreck-it Ralph then went off for lunch at Chipotle.  I’m going to meet up with them for dinner a NEXT Friday since I won’t be able to make it to the meeting the next day which I’ll explain below.

A week from Saturday, my mom and I are going to my first D23 Event at the Walt Disney Family Museum.  It’s a special presentation of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves exhibit opening at the museum.  I’m really excited about that too.  I went to the museum once and it is fantastic.  They did a great job with it and it’s nice to have something Disney related here in Northern California. 

We are going to Carmel/Monterey again for Thanksgiving and I’m really excited about that!  I love it there so much, especially at that time of year.  Since Thanksgiving is only 3 (akk!!!) weeks away, I’m going to try to lose as much as I can by then.  My goal is 5 pounds.  I think that’s doable.  Then by Christmas, I want to lose another 5.  I know it’s hard to do this time of year but if I stick with the low GI eating and portion control, counting points, and exercise, I should be good to go.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, we have a tradition where each of us gets one person an ornament.  This year it’s my mom I’m picking for so I need to find something for her. I know what she likes on her tree so it shouldn’t be hard to do.

I can’t believe the holidays are essentially here!  Each year seems to just fly by! But I better leave it there because I could ramble on and on about this stuff.  So here’s to a fresh new start!  See ya on Monday!
