Another Decade Come and Gone

Well, my twenties are officially behind me. I turned 30 today. I came into work to see my friend, Nicole, decorated my cubicle. I was so stunned!

That was so sweet of her. Especially since she left for Hawaii for the week today!

And she got me a tiara! Yay!

For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant in midtown Sacramento called Paesano’s. I had a blood orange margarita that was pretty good.

They gave Nicky a ball of raw dough to play with. Nicky and my mom tried to make a dinosaur.

I got pasta with spinach, bacon, caramelized onions, and tomatoes in a cream sauce. It reminded me of a dish my aunt makes. It was really good but too rich with the cream sauce.

After dinner, I opened my presents, then we went to Leatherby’s for dessert. I got a small vanilla sunday with marshmallow sauce. Boring I know but it was tasty!

Nick got me this really soft blanket they are selling at Costco in a dark teal color.  Seriously, if they have them at your Costco, get one,  they are so soft!  And only $10! I have a purple one too and I LOVE them!  He also got me this pretty pink and silver glittery card and a See’s chocolate pop.

My mom gave me a pretty turquoise sweater. (I have the same one in charcoal gray and I love it! It’s really soft! You can find them at Nordstrom in a ton of different colors in the Point of View department.) She also got me Benetint and They’re Real mascara from Benefit.  I love that mascara, and I’ve wanted to try the Benetint which is a lip and cheek tint/stain.

Gina and Nicky got me this beautiful sparkly bracelet and  earrings.  I love them!

I have been dreading this day for a while now, but now that it’s here, I don’t feel so bad.  I had a great day (despite being at work) and I feel so blessed with all of the well wishes and support I have from my family and friends.  I think this decade might be a good one for me.

Happy Birthday (even if it is the dirty thirty)! It looks as though you celebrated and were well loved on your day. 🙂
